
Climbing Active Volcanoes
The road to high altitude mountaineering was long and arduous. I wanted to earn my stripes before jumping into a challenge too huge. The journey started in the UK in 2016 when I completed the 3 peaks challenge. Followed by a year of mountaineering in the Lake District while I was living in Carlisle.
From there, I took on Slovenia’s highest (Mount Triglav 2864m) in a single day, followed by Bali’s highest (Mount Agung 3031m) at midnight. Next up came Lombok’s highest (Mount Rinjani 3726m) over two days, and finally Malaysia’s highest mountain (Mount Kinabalu 4095m).
